Build and launch customer-facing features that improve dealership operations and revenue outcomes.
Clearline is hiring a software engineer who wants to ship real product in a fast-paced startup environment. You will help build Clearline's AI operating system for dealership revenue - spanning calls, messages, appointments, and lead follow-up workflows.
You will own features from concept to production, collaborate closely with product and design, and see your work impact live customer behavior.
What You'll Do
- Ship product quickly: Build and launch customer-facing features across the web app and platform services.
- Work full stack: Contribute to backend APIs, workflow logic, and front-end UI used by dealership teams.
- Build AI-assisted workflows: Help implement and improve voice, SMS, and lead automation flows.
- Improve reliability: Write tests, monitor production quality, and resolve issues with urgency.
- Collaborate deeply: Partner with product and design to scope solutions and define practical tradeoffs.
- Move across time horizons: Handle urgent bug fixes while delivering larger features end to end.
- Own outcomes: Measure feature impact and iterate based on customer usage and feedback.
What We're Looking For
- 2+ years of software engineering experience in modern web stacks.
- Hands-on experience with React and backend API development.
- Strong debugging skills and a detail-oriented approach to implementation.
- Comfort working in fast-moving environments with changing priorities.
- Familiarity with testing, observability, and production operations.
- Product mindset and clear communication with cross-functional teammates.
- Interest in building AI-powered workflows and automation products.
