Growth Intern/Co-op - 2026 Fall
Build pipeline, run growth experiments, and turn customer insight into revenue-generating work.
This is an in-person role in our Kitchener/Waterloo office starting September 2026. Only apply if you can work legally in Canada.
Deadline to apply: July 31, 2026.
Clearline is looking for a Growth Intern/Co-op who wants to join the go-to-market engine of a fast-moving startup.
Clearline helps automotive dealerships capture, route, and convert every customer interaction across sales and service, including calls, texts, web leads, appointments, and follow-up. We work with dealership teams where a missed call or stale lead directly means lost revenue.
You'll work closely with the founders and go-to-market team on the work that actually creates pipeline: finding the right dealerships, researching accounts, writing outbound, supporting campaigns, learning from real customer conversations, and improving the systems behind it.
This is not a "make social posts and sit in meetings" internship. You'll be expected to take ownership, move quickly, and contribute to revenue-generating work.
What You'll Do
- Run growth experiments: Test new audiences, events, channels, offers, and outbound workflows. Track what is working, what is not, and turn that into the next iteration.
- Build pipeline: Research and identify dealership groups, GMs, sales leaders, service leaders, and other buyers who fit Clearline's ideal customer profile.
- Turn research into insight: Learn how dealerships manage calls, leads, appointments, BDC teams, service overflow, and follow-up, then use those insights to improve targeting and messaging.
- Create useful content: Help turn customer conversations, market observations, product launches, and dealership pain points into outbound assets, founder content, case studies, and website copy.
- Work close to the customer: Sit in on dealership calls and demos. Hear objections directly and help improve how Clearline communicates its value.
- Own outcomes: You will not just complete tasks. You'll be expected to understand the goal, measure the result, and improve the work.
What We're Looking For
- Available to work in person from our Kitchener/Waterloo office for the full four-month co-op or internship term.
- Enrolled in a business, commerce, computer science, or related undergraduate program. Relevant experience matters more than your exact program.
- Comfortable with ambiguity and fast iteration. You do not need a perfect brief to get started.
- Previous experience working for a fast-growing startup.
- Willing to talk to customers, hear direct feedback, and use it to improve your work.
- A bias for action: you take ownership, move quickly, and care about results.
Nice to Have
- Previous experience in sales, marketing, business development, startups, consulting, recruiting, or customer-facing work.
- Familiarity with CRM and outbound tools such as LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Apollo, HubSpot, Clay, or similar platforms.
- Experience writing cold email, LinkedIn outreach, social content, or customer research.
- Interest in AI, workflow automation, automotive retail, or B2B SaaS.
- A portfolio, personal project, newsletter, campus initiative, side business, or other proof that you've made something happen.
What You'll Get
- Real ownership over work tied directly to pipeline and revenue.
- Exposure to the full startup growth loop: positioning, prospecting, outbound, sales calls, customer feedback, onboarding, and retention.
- Direct feedback and mentorship from the founders.
- The chance to build practical skills that transfer to founding a company, joining an early-stage startup, or future roles in growth, sales, product, and go-to-market.
Interview Process
- Intro and initial screen (20 minutes): A screening call to understand your background and fit for the role.
- Onsite interview (60 minutes): An in-person interview focused on how you think and approach a practical problem.
- Offer: Successful candidates will receive a decision quickly after the final interview.
